How to Set Up a Donation Roulette for Your Stream

Step 1. Open the panel

The panel (/panel) opens with no signup - you can test the roulette right away with random test donations and see how everything works before connecting real donations.

Step 2. Connect donations

The "Log in with DonationAlerts" button in the panel - one-click OAuth login, donations start flowing into the panel automatically. The roulette also works without logging in, just on test donations.

Step 3. Set up your lots and the wheel

A donation's text becomes the lot's name, and its amount becomes its weight on the wheel: the more a lot receives, the higher its chance. You can spin the wheel any time - a separate timer isn't required.

Step 4. Bring the roulette on stream

A ready-made OBS widget - a separate page with a transparent background, synced with the panel in real time. See the "Donation Roulette Widget for OBS" guide below for setup details.

Example: how donations change the odds

Suppose viewers donate 100 to a lot called "Game A" and 300 to "Game B". With smoothing off, their wheel shares are 25% and 75%. The larger amount improves the chance but does not guarantee a win.

If another viewer donates 100 with the name "Game A", it adds to the same lot. The totals become 200 and 300, and the odds become 40% and 60%. Check the lot names and displayed odds in the panel before spinning.

If real donations do not appear

First add a test donation in the panel. If it appears in the feed and changes a lot, the roulette itself is working. Then check the DonationAlerts connection in the integrations tab and compare the panel feed with the donation history in DonationAlerts to find where delivery stops.
